ORGULLO NACIONAL, EL COMANDANTE DE LA GUARDIA DE HONOR DE LA ESCUELA NACIONAL DE NÁUTICA HORACIO VÁZQUEZ RIVAROLA SE CONVIERTE EN EL PRIMER OFICIAL DE LA MARINA MERCANTE EN OBTENER UN DOCTORADO UNIVERSITARIO CON MENCIÓN DE HONOR.
La Marina Mercante Argentina tiene su primer Doctor “Cum Laude”
El pasado viernes 8 de enero, en la sede de Vigo (España), se llevó a cabo la defensa de la Tesis Doctoral denominada “La Marina Mercante, un Fenómeno de Comunicación” por parte del oficial mercante argentino Horacio-Guillermo Vázquez Rivarola.
Luego de cumplimentada la exposición, el tribunal en sesión secreta resolvió otorgar la máxima calificación “Sobresaliente”, y por unanimidad de votos, la mención honorífica “Cum Laude”.
El nuevo Doctor Vázquez Rivarola, se convierte así en el primer oficial activo de la Marina Mercante Argentina en obtener un doctorado universitario que corona una exitosa carrera profesional y académica, dedicada en gran medida, a la investigación marítima.
El tema desarrollado por el Dr. Vázquez Rivarola ahonda en la historia y la identidad marítima, con el objetivo final de proponer una serie de estrategias tendientes a solucionar uno de los temas mas acuciantes del sector: El déficit crítico de oficiales y de postulantes a las carreras marítimas.
Horacio-Guillermo Vázquez Rivarola es un conocido y respetado promotor de originales iniciativas como la investigación sobre las “Mujeres en la Marina Mercante” y el proyecto infantil “Tritón”, ambos divulgados en gran parte del mundo.
Argentine Merchant Navy has its first Doctor "Cum Laude"
Last Friday, January 8, at the Communication Faculty (Vigo University) of Pontevedra (Spain), was held the defense of the doctoral thesis entitled "The Merchant Navy, a phenomenon of communication" by the argentine merchant officer Horacio Guillermo Vázquez Rivarola.
After completed his dissertation, the court ruled in secret session to give top "Outstanding", and unanimously, the honors "Cum Laude" rating.
The new Doctor Vázquez Rivarola, thus becomes the first active officer in the Argentine Merchant Navy to earn a university PhD crown a successful professional and academic career, largely dedicated to maritime research.
The theme developed by Dr. Vázquez Rivarola delves into the history and maritime identity, with the ultimate aim of proposing a series of strategies to solve one of the most pressing issues of the sector: The critical shortage of officers and applicants to the maritime careers.
Horacio Vázquez-Guillermo Rivarola is a known and respected developer of original initiatives such as research on "Women in the Merchant Marine" and the children"s project "Triton", both released in much of the world.
